I am sorry that this post is up late. I got home late last night after driving fives and a half ours back and forth to NYC in a day and a half. I slept eleven hours! But I do have a review for you late or not! Side note. Always befriend your professors. Thanks Becca for letting me sleep lol.
Three Dark Crowns

Hardcover, 398 pages
8 Hours Audiobook

When kingdom come, there will be one.
In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born—three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.
But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose…it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.
The last queen standing gets the crown.
As said above I give this one 5 stars. I honestly found it so fascinating. The concept of the world while cruel, kept me enthralled. I wanted to know what would happen to these queens. I wanted to know who would die, or if they would die at all! Blake wrote it in such a way that I don't know who I should route for. I don't want any of the queens to die. I like them all for certain qualities.
Having read other peoples reviews I have seen that many people didn't like the beginning because they felt it was slow or hard to get into, or their were to many characters. Honestly this is why I thought it was so perfect! I wanted to get to know each of our queens in question and each of their courts. That is just what Blake did. Setting up the world so that we may understand exactly would happen and who to trust, or not to.
I loved how dark and complex this was. I also enjoy series like this, if you also enjoy this and don't mind the bits of romance. Mainly very, very, stupid men. You will really enjoy this book.
So here I sit waiting for September 19th 2017 when One Dark Throne, the sequal is released. ARC can I get an ARC? I really would love an ARC.
