![]() Waistcoats & Weaponry (Finishing School #3) by Gail Carriger 4 stars Hardcover, 298 pages Published November 4th 2014 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers (first published January 1st 2014) Sophronia continues her second year at finishing school in style—with a steel-bladed fan secreted in the folds of her ball gown, of course. Such a fashionable choice of weapon comes in handy when Sophronia, her best friend Dimity, sweet sootie Soap, and the charming Lord Felix Mersey stowaway on a train to return their classmate Sidheag to her werewolf pack in Scotland. No one suspected what—or who—they would find aboard that suspiciously empty train. Sophronia uncovers a plot that threatens to throw all of London into chaos and she must decide where her loyalties lie, once and for all. My Thoughts: I love this book series a and Carriger's writing with every book of hers that I read. Sophronia has grown so much. She isn't so much the girl that came flying out of the dumbwaiter and more into a deadly beautiful women. In this book she faces what may be some of her hardest decisions ever. I like this book for the most part because it didn't take place at school. This one was the first of the books that truly had my attention every second of it. It showed Sophronia at her truest potential. This book had the grown up thoughts I have wanted though every book. I loved it.
